Lady Gaga Rules Billboard.com's Readers Poll 2013

Miley Cyrus and Ariana Grande also scored major wins, but Gaga was the Billboard.com readers' MVP.

Put your hands up, make 'em touch: Lady Gaga is the ruler of Billboard.com's 2013 Readers' Poll, which allowed pop music fans far and wide to vote for their favorite albums, songs, videos and performances of the past year. Gaga, who returned in late 2013 with her "ARTPOP" opus, emerged in a superstar-laden field and claimed the poll's top prize: the 2013 MVP.

However, the MVP award was just the start for Gaga. "ARTPOP" was voted the readers' favorite album to top the Billboard 200 chart in 2013, while the official clip for "Applause" ran away with the Favorite Music Video category. Gaga's two-song stop on "Saturday Night Live" last month was voted the Favorite TV Performance of the year, and the singer blew away the competition in the Fashion category. And although "Lady Gaga Cancels Tour Dates Due To Injury" won the Biggest Disappointment award, that win just demonstrates how eager fans remain to see Gaga live -- her next tour was voted the most anticipated event of 2014.

2013 was a huge year for Gaga in the Readers' Poll, but Miley Cyrus wasn't too far behind the "Do What U Want" singer. "Wrecking Ball," Cyrus' first No. 1 single on the Hot 100 chart, was voted the best Hot 100 chart-topper of the year, and Cyrus' "Bangerz" career revival was voted the Comeback of the Year. Cyrus' twerk-happy VMAs performance was voted the Most Shocking Moment in music of 2013, and the "Wrecking Ball" online parodies won the vote for the Best Viral moment of the year.
Some other winners of note: just like in our mid-year poll, Ariana Grande ran away with the Newcomer of the Year vote, overcoming fellow newbies Imagine Dragons and Lorde in the vote. Taylor Swift's international Red run was voted the Favorite Tour of the year, while Lollapalooza and "The X Factor" won for the year's best festival and musical TV show, respectively. And although we had to remove Beyonce from one of our categories -- "Beyonce Does Not Release An Album in 2013" certainly still can't be an option in the Biggest Disappointment vote! -- Queen Bey gave the Festival Performance of the year at Made In America, while she and Jay Z were voted the Hottest Couple of 2013.
Check out the full results below -- including the percentage of the votes that each candidate received:

Lady Gaga - Artpop Lyrics (Not Official)

(The lyrics are not official, it's just what I figured out, and with little help from the internet)

Free my mind .. ARTPOP
You make my .. heart stop

Come to me, in all your glamor and groovy
Just do that thing that you do
And I'll undress you
You decide, sometimes the simplest move is right
The melody that you choose, can rescue you

A hybrid can withstand these things
My heart can beat with bricks and strings
My ARTPOP could mean anything

We could, we could belong together, ARTPOP
We could, we could belong together, ARTPOP
We could, we could belong together, ARTPOP
ARTPOP, ARTPOP, ARTPOP

Come to me, without your subtext and fantasy
Just do that thing that you do
For my love is you
Lovers fly, I've flown my beaches with lover's side
The color palette you choose, and profit you

A hybrid can withstand these things
My heart can beat with bricks and strings
My ARTPOP could mean anything

Could try to sell you out or I
Could show you all the reasons why
My ARTPOP could mean anything

We could, we could belong together, ARTPOP
We could, we could belong together, ARTPOP
We could, we could belong together, ARTPOP
ARTPOP, ARTPOP, ARTPOP

We could, we could belong together, ARTPOP
We could, we could belong together, ARTPOP
We could, we could belong together, ARTPOP
ARTPOP, ARTPOP, ARTPOP

Brush off the darkness that you create
Your destiny that ARTPOP could mean anything, anything
I tried to sell myself but I am really laughing
Because I just love the music, not the bling
The music, not the bling

We could, we could belong together, ARTPOP
We could, we could belong together, ARTPOP
We could, we could belong together, ARTPOP
ARTPOP, ARTPOP, ARTPOP

We could, we could belong together, ARTPOP
We could, we could belong together, ARTPOP
We could, we could belong together, ARTPOP
ARTPOP, ARTPOP, ARTPOP

Free my mind .. ARTPOP
You make my .. heart stop

Lady Gaga Goes Naked Again: This Time Covering Her Body With Grass For 'Do What U Want' Single Cover Art [PHOTO]

Move over meat dress, Lady Gaga’s covering herself up in a new way now. Just because it’s not made of meat, doesn’t mean it’s any less jaw-dropping. For the cover art for her new single “Do What U Want”, Gaga decided to strip down to nothing, but cover herself up with some grass. That’s right, like the front of your lawn grass. The single is set to release of Oct. 21st and in it, she collaborates with mega-star R. Kelly. Gaga tweeted about the song: “I REPEAT R KELLY IS ON ARTPOP. AND HE SOUNDS INCREDIBLE.”

ArtPop is Lady Gaga’s thirds studio album set to release on November 8th. The first single of the record, “Applause” has already been a huge success toping the charts as well as providing the theme music for several commercials, including car company Kia’s new ad. Lady Gaga is no stranger to shocking outfits and barely there stage costumes.
Most notably, Gaga busted out of a giant egg on the Grammys stage during The 53rd Annual Grammy Awards held at Staples Center on February 13, 2011 in Los Angeles, California. From there, she doned the infamous meat dress, her own version of a male doppleganger and even posed as an erotic nun during her Monster Ball Tour.
Lady Gaga recently made her return to the pop scene after having hip surgery that kept her of the stage for quit some time. Now, Mother Monster is back and ready for action. Gaga has recenty taken to Twitter for aQ&A with her mosters answering any questions they may have about her, the new album, and what we can expect to see from her in the future. As amazing as the green grass looks on Lady Gaga, we can certainly expect to see much more from the pop megastar.

Lady Gaga's 'Applause' Hits No. 1 on Dance Chart

Lady Gaga's 'Applause' Hits No. 1 on Dance Chart

The lead single from Gaga's "ARTPOP" lands at the top spot.

Lady Gaga zooms from No. 16-1 on Dance/Electronic Songs with “Applause,” riding enormous gains all around.
Her 15-spot leap is the most in the eight month history of the Dance/Electronic Songs chart, beating the 12-1 jump of Baauer¹s “Harlem Shake.” Only “Shake” and “Gentleman” by PSY reached No. 1 in two weeks or less.
The song takes home the Greatest Gainer/Airplay award and enters at No. 4 on Dance Streaming Songs, collecting 79% of its 2.9 million streams from YouTube. Sales of 218,000 digital downloads, according to Nielsen SoundScan, are enough to spur a No. 1 debut on Dance/Electronic Digital Songs, her fourth No. 1 and ninth top 10 on that tally.
Two remixes enter Dance/Electronic Songs: “Motherquake,” a Diplo remix of the DJ Fresh song “Earthquake” featuring Dominique Young Unique’s vocals, debuts at No. 38.  Only available for download to those who purchase the entire “Kick Ass 2” film soundtrack, its chart points stem entirely from YouTube streams. A new version of Barker & Yelawolf’s “Push ‘Em, remixed by Steve Aoki & Travis Barker, is new at No. 41 (6,000 units).  Sales of the original version do not count towards this remix.
Over on Dance/Electronic Albums, BT captures his fifth top 10 with “A Song Across Wires.” His No. 5 bow carries his best sales week (2,000 units) since February, 2010.
Finally, Avicii’s red-hot momentum continues as “Wake Me Up!” soars 6-1 on Dance Club Songs, his fourth No. 1.  Avicii is also the Greatest Gainer/Digital at No. 3 on Dance/Electronic Digital Songs (138,000 units, up 22%), while improving 15-11 on the Hot 100.

Lady Gaga promises to go crazy

Lady Gaga promises to go crazy

Los Angeles - Lady Gaga's MTV Video Music Awards performance will be her craziest yet.
The singer insists she's definitely not "scaling it back" when it comes to her stage show and outfit for the ceremony in New York this Sunday, where she will give her first live rendition of her new single Applause from her album ARTPOP.
Speaking to radio host Scott Mills on UK station BBC Radio 1, Gaga teased: "We're definitely not scaling it back. It's actually much bigger performance than anything we've ever done and it's much more physically challenging.
''I'm always going to be as interested in the avant-garde and the grotesque. And I'm always going to be bending pop music in a different way.
"But this time, I'm able to take off my make-up now and I'm able to work in different kinds of ways and that was really what I wanted to do. I wanted to put myself in an uncomfortable position."
How weird will Gaga go?
Fans are busy speculating what bizarre get-up Gaga will wear on stage this time, with the clamshell bikini from the Applause music video being a hot favourite.
The pop superstar is famed for her outrageous costumes and staging choices, which have memorably included a raw meat dress, rolling on stage in a wheelchair and appearing as a floating head hologram.
In spite of her crazy performances, Gaga, 27, insists she craves downtime with her family to relax on the sofa and scoff their homemade Italian food because it keeps her grounded.
Gaga said: "The other night I laid on the couch with my mom and dad and ate spaghetti. So that's pretty normal. I love my parents and they give me inspiration as well. I need that time to feel normal because it makes me appreciate it even more when I hit the stage and there 5,000 people singing every word.
"It gives me perspective and it keeps me strong. We watch a lot of crime documentaries, that's what my dad and I like to watch!"
