Over October 3-4, Lady Gaga cemented her unofficial title as Queen of Twitter by becoming the first ever person to accumulate over 30 million followers on the site.
According to social media monitoring site Starcount.com, the eccentric pop star gains around 30,000 new followers every day. Analysts from Starcount also cite the popstar's frequent interaction with fans on the microblogging site, as well as her fame, as the reason for her phenomenal popularity on Twitter.
Close behind Lady Gaga, in terms of Twitter popularity, is teenage popstar Justin Bieber, who has over 28 million followers.
