Lady Gaga, Sarah Jessica Parker & Naomi Campbell Get A Disney Makeover For Barney’s Christmas Campaign!

It's gearing up to be a Disney Christmas, as first Harrods windows have had designer Disney princess dresses, and now Disney have made an animated short film feturing Lady Gaga, Sarah Jessica Parker, Anna Dello Russo, Naomi Campbell and the rest of the fash pack.

The fash faves have been given the Disney animation treatment for Barney’s new Christmas campaign, which will show in the windows of Barney’s Madison Avenue store in New York on LED tiles. In the film ‘Electric Holiday’ Minnie Mouse has a day dream which takes her to Paris for Fashion Week, where she is whisked to a fashion show and is dressed by Balenciaga's Nicolas Ghesquière and Lanvin’s Alber Elbaz. Life is pretty good for a fashion mouse, eh?

On the catwalk Minnie wears Lanvin, Snow White struts her stuff in Nina Ricci and Daisy Duck wears Dolce. Disney fans will be happy to know that Goofy also makes an appearance rocking Balmain on the catwalk - he has an amazing Naomi-esque power strut. Captain Hook and the Cheshire Cat also make an appearance.

We KNEW Giles Deacon and Richard Nicholl got it right and that Minnie Mouse with her adorable polka dots and bows in her hair is so totally in. She fits in perfectly with the fash pack, including Carine Roitfeld, Bryan Boy, Emmanuelle Alt, Franca Sozzani, Cathy Horyn and Daphne Guinness. 

Lady Gaga appears in the very same outfit she wore on the cover Vogue and Anna Dello Russo has OTT feathered shoulders and two cherries on her head. But we have to say, where oh where is Ms Anna Wintour? That bob would look fab in animation.

Luis Fernandez, senior vice president of creative for Disney Consumer Products, said: "We thought, a huge force in fashion and a huge force in animation. What better than for these two companies to get together and do something for the holidays?"'

The ad is great but does anyone else think Disney should make an actual film about the fashion world? Minnie Mouse the fashion blogger, Minnie Mouse on the FROW, Minnie Mouse the fashion editor….
