Lady Gaga tix on sale Fri. for Philly, A.C. shows |
She of the black perfume, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame- preserved meat dress, and more outlandish costumes than a Halloween superstore in Vegas won't stage her Philly concert until February, but tickets go on sale Friday.
The gig is set for 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19, at the Wells Fargo Center, with prices ranging from $49.50 to $175.
Eight other U.S. and Canadian dates on her Born This Way Ball tour, including Atlantic City's Boardwalk Hall on March 2, will also be up for grabs at 10 a.m. through www.LiveNation.com. The other gigs: Vancouver, Jan. 11. San Jose, Calif., Jan. 17. Los Angeles, Jan. 20. Las Vegas, Jan 25. Toronto, Feb. 8. Chicago, Feb. 13. Washington, D.C., Feb. 25.
Two New York performances are among nine that go on sale at 10 a.m. Sept. 28, including Tacoma, Dallas, Houston, Boston, Tampa, Fort Lauderdale and Miami. The Big Apple shows are Feb. 22 at Madison Square Garden and March 6 at Brooklyn's Barclay's Center.
At midnight on the night of Sept. 28, Montreal tickets also go on sale.
On sale at 10 a.m. Oct. 5 will be tickets for shows in Detroit, Phoenix, St. Louis, Kansas City, St. Paul, Nashville and Atlanta.
The music will be from "her latest album Born This Way as well as music from both The Fameand The Fame Monster," according to Wednesday's announcement of the sale dates.
"It's a bit odd" that there's no been mention of her next album, ARTPOP, expected in early 2013, Inquirer music critic Dan DeLuca wrote earlier this month on his In the Mix blog (www.philly.com/philly/blogs/inthemix).
The tour, which began in April in Seoul, South Korea, plays venues around Europe this month (with Gaga appearing to puff some weed Monday in Amsterdam), before moving to Mexico and Puerto Rico late next month, then on to South America in November.
